About Sint Maarten Boat Tours

Sint Maarten Boat Tours is an independent guide to the best trips on the water around Sint Maarten and Saint-Martin — full-day catamaran sails to Anguilla, snorkel cruises with open bar and lunch, a luxury day sail, trimaran trips and short sunset cruises. We compare every boat tour in one place so you can pick the right day at sea without the research. Ready to sail? Compare all our boat tours on the homepage.

Why we built this site

Booking a boat tour in Sint Maarten means wading through listings on several platforms with little clarity on what actually sets each trip apart — which boat sails out to Anguilla, which include an open bar and lunch, which are catamarans and which are trimarans, and which are really just a short sunset cruise. We do that work for you, putting the real details in one place: price, guest rating, duration, exactly what's included, and how each boat handles the water.

We also explain what to expect from each trip, because the right boat tour depends on your schedule, your budget, whether you're prone to seasickness, and whether you're here for a week or just a cruise-ship port day.

How we choose the tours

We don't list everything. We feature operators that meet a consistent baseline:

  • Licensed, island-based sailing crews with local skippers
  • A verified track record of strong traveller reviews
  • Clear, honest inclusions — lunch, open bar, snorkel gear and pickup
  • Free cancellation policies so you can plan around the sea forecast without risk

How we make money

This site is free to use. When you book through a link here, we may earn a small commission from the booking platform — at no extra cost to you. It never changes what you pay, and it never determines the order or rating of a tour.

Our comparisons reflect verified reviews, real value, and what's genuinely best for different types of travellers — not commission rates.

About the author

I'm Captain Dwayne Richardson, a Sint Maarten catamaran skipper. I've run day-sails out of Simpson Bay since 2014 — the long crossing over to Anguilla and the Prickly Pear Cays, the snorkel cruises along the French coast, and the sunset trips out past the lagoon mouth. I put this guide together to answer what guests actually ask me on the dock and on deck: which boat suits a family versus a couple, what the open bar and lunch really include, how rough the Anguilla crossing gets, and what each operator does and doesn't provide.

Everything here is checked against how the boats run today.
